About Me
Hi, I’m Rachel – the face behind the camera.
My love for photography started early. I owned my very first camera at just five years old – a pink Barbie film camera that I proudly took on holiday, carefully finishing each roll and waiting excitedly to take it to the shop to be developed. That feeling of capturing a moment and seeing it come to life in print never left me.
By the age of eleven, I had completed a huge research project on the history of the camera (yes, really!) – proof that photography wasn’t just a hobby, it was a genuine fascination. Growing up, I was always the one documenting family trips and travels, finding joy in preserving the little details that might otherwise be forgotten.
Alongside completing my PGCE, I began arranging ‘time for photos’ fashion shoots with aspiring models, building confidence behind the lens and learning how to bring out personality in front of it. Like many creatives, my photography slowed during and after COVID as opportunities disappeared – but it never stopped being part of who I am.
Everything changed when I found out I was expecting my daughter. Pregnancy sparked a renewed passion and a deep appreciation for maternity, newborn and family photography. Becoming a mum to Sabrina (now 7 months old) has completely transformed the way I see moments – I understand just how quickly they pass, and how precious it is to freeze time, even just for a second.
I’m currently studying for a Professional Diploma with the British Academy of Photography, continually refining my skills and investing in my craft. Alongside this, I’m a qualified history teacher with five years’ experience working with SEND pupils. From April, I’ll be working part-time as a supply teacher while growing my photography business – a balance that allows me to keep learning, keep creating, and most importantly, spend precious time with my daughter while she’s little.
For me, photography is about storytelling and connection. It’s about capturing the quiet in-between moments, the tiny details, and the genuine emotions that make your family yours. My aim is to create natural, heartfelt images that you’ll treasure for years to come — photographs that bring you straight back to how that season of life truly felt.

Charity Work
I’m proud to support Bliss, the UK charity dedicated to helping babies born premature or full term and sick (like my daughter) and the families who love them. For every photoshoot booked, £1 will be donated to Bliss, helping to fund vital support, research and care for those who need it most.
